A true pair made from one piece of slate stone which was split into two interesting pieces, each being a slightly different size and shape. These brother wolves are howling to the moon in the still dark night. The stone is naturally textured with tiny pebbled indentations which look like and blend in with, the engraved fur. Titanium white was used to highlight the wolves' fur being reflected in the moonlight. These stones have an energy to them and an alive feeling when touched. These two wolf engravings are definitely favorites of mine. These pieces are trivets with four felt pads on the reverse sides to protect furniture. They may also be placed on stands if desired.
